Scheduling Buffer

For a three-day task, scheduling the meeting four days out provides one business day of safety margin. Adding a full week of margin to a three-day task is considered excessive, while one day of margin is considered appropriate. The appropriate buffer size is a judgment call based on confidence in the time estimate.
