Resource Planning

Honest resource planning, even when the numbers are uncomfortable, is preferable to optimistic estimates that collapse under reality. Accurate resource planning must cover developer capacity, design hours, project management bandwidth, QA coverage, and infrastructure requirements. Underestimating resources is one of the most common root causes of project failure. Without a roadmap, resources are consumed at the same rate regardless of whether the project is converging on a goal.
